Vice President

Baroness Juliane von Schmeling, MBA, EJD
Vice President - WVMC

I started riding early . . . and fast, on the Autobahn as I got older. I was born in Frankfurt, Germany. We didn't have Harleys then, but we had some pretty great BMWs and Japanese bikes. I do miss the German Autobahn without the potholes and it's 'no speed limit driving discipline', but I learned to embrace and love the American motorcycle culture.

I've been a member of this club almost since its inception in 1999. Signed my daughter up as the youngest member ever at age 4. She started riding with me pretty much since she could hold her head up and wear a helmet, a cute little bright red helmet. Bill Richards constructed extra pegs on my bike so she could firmly plant her feet and Jack Williams, the former owner at Two Jacks, secured a fantastic harness for her that attached to me in case she would fall asleep behind me, which she often did in those early days - when she wasn't giving silly hand signals behind my back to motorists we were passing. Those days are of course long gone. At last check Annastina measured 5'9" and has her own dirtbike, but she still likes to ride with me.

I've been an officer before for a few years and with my ad agency founded in 1990 improved a lot of image standards for the club, such as a new newsletter layout, format, name and matching custom logo, new camera-ready art for the club logo, lots of PR, and most importantly to this day, built and maintained the first website for the club - long before everybody had a computer. Took the first digital club pictures and posted them. Thankfully that's now in the very capable hands of dUdE, aka Papa Razzy and Dudley. Also sold the first advertising on the site and predicted then, that one day the internet would be our primary form of communication . .

One of my inherited responsibilities as an officer of WVMC this year is to solicit website advertising once again and assist with the advertising & marketing of the WVMC Thunder Motorcycle Show. Annual website ads are $200 for front page and $100 on the advertising page. So don't be shy and expose yourself to the world via the WVMC website?! The website ads are automatically renewed unless cancelled (or not paid for by 3-31-11).

These days I'm busy being a single mom with a crazy kid in cyber school, running two businesses - Quest Worldwide, a subsidiary of Quest Consulting Group Inc., the ad agency and market research firm I started in 1990 and took international in 2009, and The Baroness - Family Law Consulting LLC, where we prep clients for divorce quietly and confidentially, help them through the disturbing process without all the unnecessary drama. We pride ourselves in completing divorces in far less time and definitely at much less cost than traditional divorces. Our motto is :"Creating intelligent Win-Win Solutions". We also conduct comprehensive custody and home evaluations.

I love to organic garden, travel, meditate and mediate, fly, snowboard, ski, and wakeboard, play tennis and with my Apple Macbook, ride my bicycle, and of course, my pimped Kulka Kustom. My favorite ride of the year is our wild, extended weekend in Wildwood.

I'm thrilled to be back as an officer and am looking forward to a productive, exciting year organizing, riding, and .. As I always say . . . keep it vertical and be free - Peace out.
